Both the 10 Mile and 5K are offering an engraved quarry stone to first overall male and female.
Our famous handmade quarry rock awards are offered to 2nd - 3rd male and female overall and all standard five-year age groups for both genders. We also award 1st overall Masters (age 40+) Male and female and first overall male and female Lemont resident awards in both races.
All Age Group and Lemont Resident Awards will be based on electronic time.

Race Prize Money:
Prize money will be offered to 1st through 3rd Overall Male and Female and 1st Overall Male and Female Masters (Age 40+) in the 5K and 10 Mile. Prize money will be as follows:
1st Overall = $150
2nd Overall = $100
3rd Overall = $50
1st Overall Masters (age 40+) = $150
King of the Hill
We are making a minor change to our King of the Hill Award. This year, we'll have one King of the Hill checkpoint on the 5K and on the 10 Mile Course. We'll present a handmade quarry stone award and $50 to the first male and female to pass the checkpoint.
The 5K King of the Hill Checkpoint will be located at approximately the half mile point at the intersection of Lemont Street and Custer.
The 10 Mile King of the Hill Checkpoint will be located after mile #2 on Timberline (same location as 2008).
We will not include an electronically timed 5 mile split time for the 10 mile. All racers will be given both their electronic and gun time.
1st-3rd Overall Awards will be based on gun time. All Masters, Age Group and Lemont Resident Awards will be based on electronic time.

COURSE TIMING
The Advocate Good Samaritan Quarryman Challenge 10 Mile & 5K will be electronically timed using the new, innovative Ipico Sports timing tag. This new timing system has been used in the Bolder Boulder, the largest road race in America and the highly competitive Steamboat Classic in Peoria, Illinois Timing will include electronic start / finish times.We will not include an electronically timed 5 mile split time for the 10 mile. All racers will be given both their electronic and gun time.
