OUR MISSION AND GOALS
The mission of the Quarryman is to offer a safe, fun, unique and challenging event for runners in the Chicago area. Our goal is to: promote the Village of Lemont and the businesses in the community and to create greater awareness of the many outdoor activities available in Lemont such as running, cycling and paddling and to improve the quality of the outdoor recreation areas.
The event is owned and operated by the Village of Lemont. It is organized and managed by a committee of volunteers. All entry fees and sponsorship dollars are used to pay for the costs of the event. Any funds available after all costs will be used to enhance and promote the outdoor activities in Lemont such as trail maintenance and improvements and promotion of the outdoor activities and events.
